Striping and sealcoating: what is the difference?

Understand the role of each service when planning your lot’s next update.

Striping defines the space

Striping creates visible pavement markings: parking spaces, arrows, pedestrian paths, and designated zones. The project may follow an existing layout or approved updated plans.

Sealcoating treats the surface

Sealcoating applies a surface coating to suitable asphalt. It is a different task from marking the parking layout and does not replace repairs to damaged pavement.

Plan the work together

When both services are part of the scope, ask how preparation, coating, curing, and marking will be sequenced. Product instructions and conditions at the site shape the schedule.
